Allow me to introduce to you our newest member of Commercial Kennel
Rescue....
Joey
Joey was rescued from a puppymill in Missouri. This little Bichon was born
on September 21, 2004. He has lived all of his young life outside - on
stone - never knowing what soft grass feels like under his feet.
Well, that's all changing for this little
guy!
Joey arrived in Buffalo on August 17th. He was checked out by our vet the
same day, and given a clean bill of health (except for being loaded with
mats and in desperate need of a bath!)
We took care of that the next day. He was terrified of the clippers, but
Dawn of Kissable K-9's managed to make him look like a different dog!
Once all the matted fur came off, we were shocked at how thin Joey was.
His fur was very deceiving about his weight. Needless to say, we have
placed Joey on a weight gaining diet, and he will NEVER know what going
without food is like ever again!
Joey has gone through so much in his young life, but now he can experience
what it's like to be loved and to have a family all his own!
Enjoying the soft cool grass for the first time in
his life!
Joey Has Been Adopted !!!
Joey was adopted on September 24th by Bob and
Kathy Z. of Grand Island. Joey also has a new brother Scruffy who also was
adopted at the SPCA.
This picture was taken while Joey was at one
of his favorite places in the house - right by the window so that he can
watch (and bark with Scruffy) at the cars and people that go by.
Pepper was adopted on October 15th, 2006 by Juan and Elizabeth Andino of Rochester, NY
Angie was rescued
from a local Commercial Kennel in WNY. She was fostered by Michael and
Wendy Donovan who have fallen completely head over heels with her and have
adopted her. They have proudly flunked fostering 101!
